I started taking piano lessons back in June of 2023 as a way to heal an inner child and I wrote my first song, Grim Relation, back in April of 2023. This song sparked a passion for music I didn’t know I had. Using the medium as a way to heal parts of myself while connecting with others who may be going through a similar experience.

Funny to look back and see how one song inspired a life’s vision and purpose. Since then, I have written and produced this album along with other songs still to come.

When thinking about what songs I wanted on my first album, I started to think of the title ‘Familiars’ and connecting with that idea. I wanted the entirety of the album to feel familiar to everyone who listened to it. It is my belief that the themes of each song will invoke feelings we have all felt. Feelings of familiarity, comfortability, nostalgia, hate, love, empowerment, and defeat.

The Familiars album inspires us to look past differences and find core human experiences and feelings to connect to one another, as our familiars do. Enjoy my personal life story told through the songs of this album.
